FAA/PACT Film & TV Pay Rates for the UK Film Industry

There are 3 different rates that may apply for agreements in and around the London area FAA/FACT, BBC and ITV Equity – if you are filming outside the south east of the UK you may have different rates as at March 2022

Payments are split for: Day, Night, Shift, Supplementary, Travel & Allowances and there is a minimum turnaround time ( “Daily Rest”) between shoots of 11 hours.

If an Artiste is given Reduced Daily Rest, the Producer may offer them an increased Daily Rest period in lieu of an overtime payment. Where it is not practicable to offer the Artiste an increased Daily Rest Period, the Producer shall pay the Artiste an overtime rate for each half hour or part thereof, with to a minimum of one hour.

FAA/PACT Standard day & continuous working day rates

Basic Daily Rate (BDR) – 9 hour period inc meal break, between 7am and 10pm or 7 continuous hours (without meal break).

Night time overtime rate for each half-hour worked if prior to 7am until 7am when Basic Daily rate kicks in.

After 10pm night time overtime is applicable. Unless called as a continuous working night.

FAA/PACT night rates

(As at 1 March 2022) – Based upon a 9 hour period inc meal break, scheduled to extend beyond midnight or to commence before 4am.

FAA/PACT shift call

(As at 1 March 2022)

Based on any four continuous hours taking place between 6am and 11pm. After four hours, 15 minute overtime. After that a double shift call is payable, so this rate is only advised if you know it will be less than four hours.

FAA/PACT Travel allowances

A Calls within TFL Zones 1–3 £13.87

C Any call made at or before 0600 hours (0700 hours on Sundays or Bank Holidays) £16.98
